French Committee for Laboratory Accreditation (Cofrac) authorizes the use of kits for water microbiological analysis when certified under the NF VALIDATION Scheme

 

News

As of March 22th, 2012, 107 microbiological methods in the food industry as well as 3 antibiotic detection methods are certified NF VALIDATION. All the microbiological methods are validated according to the EN ISO 16140 standard protocol requirements.

During its meeting of March 2012, the NF VALIDATION Technical Committee approved by vote:
• The validation renewal (without modification) of Simple Method for Salmonella (AES Chemunex).
• The validation extension of the following methods:
- BAX Salmonella spp (DuPont Qualicon) for the use of BAX version 2.9 software
- iQ-Check Salmonella II, iQ-Check Listeria monocytogenes II, iQ-Check Listeria spp and iQ-Check E.coli O157 :H7 (BIO-RAD) for the use of CFX96 Deep Well Touch instrument and CFX Manager IDE version 1.2 software.

Next meetings of NF VALIDATION Agribusiness Technical Committee:
10th and 11th May 2012, 5th and 6th July 2012, 6th and 7th October 2012, 29th and 30th November 2012.

 

As of 05th april 2012, 11 methods for microbiological water analysis were certified NF VALIDATION. The methods for detection / quantification of Legionella using PCR are certified according to a protocol based on the NF T90-471 standard. The other methods are certified according a technical protocol, developed by AFNOR Certification, that compares the alternative method to a standard method.

During its last meeting on april, the Technical Committee assessed draft studies and preliminary study results and the validation of two new methods have been voted: REBECCA CF WATER d’AES CHEMUNEXand RAPID’P aeruginosa Agar de Bio-Rad.
