As of December 4th, 2009, 82 microbiological methods in the food industry as well as 2 antibiotic detection methods have been awarded the AFNOR VALIDATION mark, with 81 of these methods being validated according to the EN ISO 16140 protocol. Several new methods are in the process of being validated. The last certificate for method validated according to the former protocol will be renewed in 2010 in order to take account of the requirements of EN ISO 16140.
During the December meeting, the AFNOR VALIDATION Technical Board awarded :
- the validation of the kit ADIAFOOD Listeria monocytogenes (AES CHEMUNEX) for the detection of Listeria monocytogenes in all human food products and environmental samples
-  the validation renewal of the following kits (without modifications)  : VIDAS Listeria Duo (BioMérieux), TEMPO TC (BioMérieux) and LUMIPROBE 24 Listeria monocytogenes (EUROPROBE)
- the validation extension of the method VIDAS ECPT (BioMérieux) expanding the scope of validation to "all human food products and environmental samples"
